At CAMPS, our goal is to help people overcome financial barriers to access music education and music therapy. At CAMPS, we understand that some listen to music, while for others, music listens to them.
We aim to help remove financial barriers to music education and music therapy by giving out bursaries and creating accessible programming.
Community:
CAMPS believes that community is important to learning, and our programs allow students to be part of a community of musicians, giving them a sense of belonging. Community support helps students feel supported in their learning.Â
Inclusion:
CAMPS believes that everyone should have support when they need it. We want to provide opportunities to experience music education, and we aim to remove financial barriers to access accredited music programming.
Expression:
Through music, students are encouraged to express themselves in many ways. We understand that everyone's experience in music is unique, and we connect with a variety of community partners to ensure that students are able to access programs that support their particular interests.
"Music education is about so much more than learning notes and songs. It teaches dedication, patience, creativity, and perseverance. It gives people a healthy way to express their emotions and helps build confidence that carries into other parts of life. Music also brings people together, regardless of their backgrounds, and creates a sense of community and belonging. Every student deserves the chance to discover their potential through music, and programs like CAMPS make those opportunities accessible to students who might not otherwise have them."
